Meet Aurielle Felix
February 26, 2025

We were lucky to catch up with Aurielle Felix recently and have shared our conversation below.
Aurielle, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
This is an interesting question because our purpose evolves with us as we grow, get older, change, and develop. My purpose as a teenager is different from mine now that I’m in my late twenties. But through every stage of my life, my purpose has served me well for what I was meant to experience.
I didn’t find my purpose all at once. It has been more like a series of discoveries, like breadcrumbs, each leading me closer to what truly lights me up. Looking back, the common thread in everything I’ve done has been creating.
Growing up, I was always doing something: designing clothes, painting, singing, or writing stories. I found ways to express myself through every medium possible. Even my hair journey became a form of artistry and self-discovery. When I became interested in psychology, I wasn’t just fascinated by the mind but by how our environments shape our emotions, thoughts, and experiences.
Then came design. At first, I thought I was drawn only to interiors, but over time, I innerstood my passion extended beyond that—I wanted to design entire spaces from the ground up, incorporating sustainability, biophilic elements, and a deep sense of peace. I noticed that the projects that lit me up the most weren’t just about aesthetics, but about creating transformational experiences.
Exploring my purpose hasn’t been a straight path. I’ve had moments of doubt and even times when I questioned if I was doing the right thing. But I lean on my community of like-minded people because they, too, help me explore my purpose. Now, I see it as a fusion of design, psychology, sustainability, and human connection to create environments that transform the way people live, think, and feel.
I’ve realized that purpose isn’t about finding one fixed destination—it’s about following what excites you, allowing yourself to evolve, and trusting that each step is leading you exactly where you’re meant to be.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My designs focus on mindfulness, sustainability, aesthetics, and function. I can blend interior design, biophilic design, and psychology when creating a space. This entire process is to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
What drives and excites me is the transformational power of space. How an environment can change a person’s mood, energy, and life is the reason I love creating.
I’m currently exploring the involvement of eco-conscious communities/spaces and small, sustainable commercial business opportunities here in Florida. I see so much potential here to create affordable, nature-immersed ventures.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Creative Problem Solving: Each home or space has specific needs, daily tasks, wants, and restrictions that need to be considered in every step of the design. Studying the space, researching, asking questions, limiting overthinking, and staying curious allows me to think outside the box.
2. Understanding Psychology and Human Behavior: Our environment affects how we feel, think, and interact. My background in Psychology shapes how I design space for relaxation versus productivity. For those starting out, I recommend reading up on basic psychological principles to better understand your clients and how to dig deep into what they really need/want.
3. Resilience and Adaptability: This journey is full of highs and lows; you’ll second-guess yourself, face imposter syndrome, and have moments where things do not go as planned. The key is to stay COMMITTED, stay open to learning, and trust the process. You can be sad about the rainy parade but get out there in your raincoat and dance DESPITE being sad. If you keep showing up for yourself and your vision through these ups and downs, that’s a success.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes! I want to collaborate with architects, sustainable builders, landscape designers, and other eco-conscious professionals who share a passion for transformational spaces, sustainability, and biophilic design. I’m also open to working with artists, wellness advocates, and community organizers who envision creating spaces that inspire and bring people closer to nature and themselves. If you want to collaborate, please connect via Instagram, LinkedIn, or my website. I’d love to explore ideas and build something meaningful together.
